One Injured in Tully, NY, Garbage Truck Accident on Rt. 80

Tully, NY -- February 14, 2017, a driver was injured as the result of an accident in which his garbage truck crashed into a house off of Route 80.

Authorities responded to 4883 State Highway 80 near the intersection of Strong Road. Their preliminary investigations indicated that a garbage truck was driving down the roadway when it suddenly lost control.

The garbage truck swerved off the roadway, hopped the curb, and ran across a lawn before crashing into the side of a residence.

The house sustained severe damage in the collision, but no one in the house was hurt. The driver of the truck had non-life-threatening injuries after the crash, and he was taken to a hospital for treatment.
