1 Injured in Huntington, WV, TTA Bus Accident on Norway

Huntington, WV -- February 17, 2017, one person sustained injuries following an accident where a vehicle and a TTA bus crashed on Norway Avenue.

Huntington authorities reported that the incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of Norway Avenue and Stamford Park Drive.

A Tri-State Transit Authority bus was carrying around 10 passengers down Norway at the time. Ahead of them, a woman driving a car reportedly reached to get a tissue, causing her car to drift across the center traffic line. This caused the two vehicles to crash head-on into each other.

Following the collision, EMS transported one passenger from the bus to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. It would appear no one else was hurt.

Authorities did not say if any charges or citations were given following the collision. No further details are available.
