Marissa Billings Killed, One Hurt in Accident in Catawba County, NC

Catawba County, NC -- A crash in the area of Catawba County, NC took the life of 22-year-old Marissa Billings, and left one hurt around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

The incident took place on Slanting Bridge Road in the area of Drena Rd.

According to reports, the deceased woman's vehicle was northbound on Slanting Bridge when for reasons unclear it collided with an oncoming vehicle. Ms. Billings was killed at the scene of the incident. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries. Their identity and condition remain unknown.

The official investigation into the incident is currently underway.

More information may become known pending the conclusion of the investigation.
