Theresa White, Verna Cote Killed in Accident in Barre, VT

Barre, VT -- A two-vehicle collision in the area of Barre, VT took the lives of 80-year-old Theresa White, and 80-year-old Verna Cote Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

The incident occurred at Berlin Street & Route 62.

According to the report, a truck sped through the red light at the intersection, colliding with the vehicle occupied by the deceased victims. One occupant in the sedan, Ms. White, was killed at the scene of the incident. Verna Cote, the sedan's passenger, was taken to a local hospital, but later succumbed to her injuries.

32-year-old Shawn Duprey, the driver of the truck, faces multiple charges related to the incident.

At the time of the report, officials were investigating the details of the crash.
