Forney, TX: One Hurt in Accident at U.S. Highway 80 near Marketplace Blvd.

Forney, TX -- A single-vehicle incident in the area of Forney, TX left one unidentified person with undisclosed injuries Thursday, February 22, 2017.

The incident took place at U.S. Highway 80 around 7:15 a.m.

The details of the incident are unclear, but it appears the collision caused a grass fire and a large power outage. The report wasn't specific about what took place. The driver of the vehicle was initially transported by ground to a local hospital; then was taken by air to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. The victims identity had not been disclosed at the time of the report.

Officials are examining the details of the report in the hopes of determining a cause.
