Several Hurt in Box Truck Accident on Route 222 in Richmond Twp, PA

Richmond Twp, PA -- A crash involving a passenger van and a box truck left several people with undisclosed injuries in the area of Richmond Twp, PA Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

The incident took place on Route 222 around 4 p.m.

At the time of the report, it appeared the van and the truck collided northbound on 222. It seems one person in the van required extrication by emergency crews. The incident left a portion of the road closed for several hours. Though it's unclear in which vehicles the injured were riding, officials say several people were injured.

The official investigation into the incident is currently underway.

The initial media reports provided very little information at its release.
