Gabe Atao Dies in Frisco, TX, Motorcycle Accident

Frisco, TX -- January 20, 2017, Gabe Atao was killed as the result of an accident where the motorcycle he was riding on crashed.

The Frisco Police Department investigated the single-vehicle accident which happened at around 4:30 p.m. The crash happened at the intersection of Panther Creek Parkway and Elk Grove Lane.

Police investigators report that 17-year-old Atao was a passenger on a motorcycle that was traveling westbound on Panther Creek. For reasons that aren't clear, the motorcycle lost control and fell to the roadway. Both riders were ejected from the vehicle.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. Atao was also taken to a hospital, but his injuries were critical. He died the following day at a hospital.

Authorities confirm that both victims were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
