Josiah Davies Injured in Rochester, NH, 18-wheeler Accident

Rochester, NY -- February 17, 2017, Josiah Davies was injured following an accident in which his vehicle and and a cargo truck collided.

Authorities reported that the accident happened around 6:00 a.m. along Rochester Hill Road.

According to preliminary accident reports, 27-year-old Davies was driving a Ford Focus southbound along the roadway. For reasons that are unclear, his path crossed with that of an oncoming Kenworth cargo truck. This resulted in a head-on collision.

Davies was seriously injured in the collision, and responding medical officials transported him to Frisbie Memorial Hospital. The truck driver, Raymond Bishop, was not injured.

It's not entirely clear what caused the accident. Authorities made no mention of citations or charges following the accident.

Investigations are ongoing.
