Keanon Tumblin Injured in Albany, NY, Garbage Truck Accident

Albany, NY -- February 20, 2017, Keanon Tumblin was injured as the result of an accident in which he was hit by a garbage truck.

Albany Police Officials report that the incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. outside Lincoln Elementary Magnet School, located at 518 W. Society Avenue.

42-year-old Tumblin, a waste services employee, was with a crew behind the school to pick up a dumpster. Tumblin got off the back of the vehicle in order to help guide the driver. For some reason, the truck backed into him and ran him over.

Emergency services were called to the scene, and they transported Tumblin to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Reports say his injuries are critical. No other injuries occurred.

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. No further details are available.
