Darnell Smith Killed in Accident in Baton Rouge, LA

Baton Rouge, LA -- A forklift incident in the area of Baton Rouge, LA left 49-year-old Darnell Smith dead Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

The incident too place near 7300 E. Industrial Avenue around 11 a.m.

The report claims the man was working at Interior Exterior Building Supply. According to officials, Mr. Smith was crushed by a falling piece of sheetrock. The exact cause of the incident had not been determined at the time of the report. The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

Officials are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause.

The report, due to the immediacy of the incident, provided no further information.
