Alcides Quintana Killed in Accident in DeSoto County, FL

DeSoto County, FL -- A collision between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of 65-year-old Alcides Qunitana in the area of DeSoto County, FL.

The collision happened on State Road 70 around 1:30 a.m.

The report claims a westbound vehicle occupied by 42-year-old David Manning struck the pedestrian at the U.S. 17 intersection. The pedestrian, 65-year-old Alcides Quintana, was taken to Memorial Hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the car sustained no injuries.

The exact cause of the collision has not been determined.
