Brad Kelly Injured in Gainesville, TX, Plane Accident

Gainesville, TX -- February 21, 2017, Brad Kelly was injured as the result of an accident in which a small plane crashed in a field.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the accident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. outside the Gainesville Municipal airport.

40-year-old Juli Bayramlgou and his co-pilot, 48-year-old Kelly, were flying a small plane toward the airport. A few hundred yards out from the runway, the plane lost control and fell to the ground, crashing in a nearby field.

As a result of the crash, Kelly sustained serious injuries. Responding medical officials took him to Medical Center of Plano for treatment. It's unclear if Bayramlgou was injured or not.

Bayramlgou told investigators that the plane ran out of fuel, causing it to go down. At this time, the Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating the incident.
