Brian O. Frawley Killed in Accident in Portsmouth, VA

Portsmouth, VA -- A single-vehicle crash in the area of Portsmouth, VA claimed the life of 63-year-old Brian O. Frawley Monday, February 20, 2017.

The incident took place on Interstate 264 near Greenwood Drive about 12 p.m.

It appears the vehicle occupied by the victim was attempting to exit the interstate when for reasons unclear his vehicle left the road. The passenger car then struck a group of trees, trapping him within the vehicle. Rescue units were able to free Mr. Frawley from the wreckage, but he died en route to a local hospital.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
