Katie Reece Dead, Rebecca Cruse, 2 Minors Hurt in Malvern, AR, Accident

Malvern, AR -- February 17, 2017, Katie Reece was killed, Rebecca Cruse and two minors were injured, due to an accident where two cars crashed.

According to reports by the Arkansas State Police, the fatal crash occurred near the intersection of US 67 and Reyburn Creek Road.

At around 10:00 p.m., 74-year-old Reece and 57-year-old Cruse were both traveling in opposite directions down US 67. The report claims that Reece's northbound Ford Windstar crossed over the center traffic line, crossing paths with Cruse's southbound Ford F-150.

The two vehicles crashed head-on into each other. As a result, both drivers and two juvenile's of unspecified age were injured. Reece was taken to Saline Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 11:02 p.m. The two juveniles were taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital, and it's unclear if Cruse was taken to a hospital. Their injuries were not specified.

Authorities have not yet suggested what factors contributed to the accident. Their investigations are still underway.
