Denise Diometre Killed in Alleged DUI Accident in Tarpon Springs, FL

Tarpon Springs, FL -- A suspected alcohol related collision in the area of Tarpon Springs, FL left 65-year-old Denise Diometre Thursday, February 16, 2017.

The incident took place at East Lake & and Keystone Roads around 11:29 p.m.

The report claims Ms. Diometre was driving north on East Lake Road when her vehicle was collided into by a Ford Explorer. Police say it was a rear-end collision. Ms. Diometre was taken to a local hospital, but later succumbed to her injuries.

The exact cause of the incident is ongoing.

Officials had yet to determine the cause of the incident, but say they believe alcohol was a factor.

The driver of the Explorer, 29-year-old Dustin Rhoades, has since been charged with multiple offenses related to the crash.

The preliminary press release provided no further information at the time of its release.
