Child Injured in Waco, TX, Pedestrian Accident on Richland Drive

Waco, TX -- February 19, 2017, a child was injured as the result of an accident in which he was struck by a vehicle at the Landmark Apartments complex.

The Waco Police Department stated that the incident occurred at the Landmark Apartments on Richland Drive at around 5:00 p.m.

Their investigators say that a young child was playing in the parking lot of the apartment complex. As he did so, he entered the path of a vehicle that was attempting to leave the lot. The driver did not stop in time, and the car hit the boy.

Authorities say that the child suffered an injury to his leg, and he was transported to a local hospital.

No charges or citations have been reported at this time. Police say they continue to investigate the incident.
