Injuries Reported in Conroe, TX, 18-wheeler Accident on FM 1314

Conroe, TX -- February 17, 2017, authorities responded to an accident scene on FM 1314 after an 18-wheeler and a pickup crashed, causing injuries.

According to Montgomery County officials, the incident occurred just before 8:00 a.m. near the intersection of FM 1314 and Gulf Coast Road.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a pickup and an 18-wheeler were traveling in opposite directions along FM 1314. Somehow, the two vehicles crossed paths with one another, and they crashed head-on.

At least one person was trapped in their vehicle following the collision, and authorities worked for some time to extract them. Officials say that there were injuries resulting from the crash, but it's unclear how severe they were.

At this time, no additional details have been reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
