Man Killed in Salado, TX, Tree Fall Accident off Lyndal Lane

Salado, TX -- February 17, 2017, a man was fatally injured as the result of an accident in which a tree fell on him at his property on Lyndal Lane.

Authorities from the Bell County Sheriff's Department were called to the scene of the accident in the afternoon hours. The property is located in the 1300 block of Lyndal Lane, south of Shiny Top Ranch Lane.

According to preliminary police reports, the man, whose identity wasn't released, was in a tractor clearing trees and brush from his farmland. For reasons yet to be determined, a tree fell on top of him while he working.

The incident inflicted fatal injuries to the man, and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Investigators have not elaborated further on factors surrounding the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
