One Killed, One Injured in Accident on I-45 in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- A crash in the area of Houston, TX between a pickup truck and a pedestrian claimed the life of one person and left one person with injuries Saturday, February 18, 2017.

The collision took place on Interstate 45 near Richey Rd. around 9 p.m.

The report alleges a man was crossing the roadway when he was struck by the pickup. The pickup subsequently was then struck by an SUV from the rear. The pedestrian, whose identity has not been disclosed, was killed at the scene of the incident. According to the report, a passenger in the pickup truck was left with minor injuries. The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

The cause of the incident has not been determined.

Authorities are investigating the incident to determine exactly what occurred.
