Ruth Hitchcock Killed, One Hurt in Accident in Davenport, IA

Davenport, IA -- A two-vehicle collision in the area of Davenport, IA left Ruth Hitchcock dead, and injured one around 12:30 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017.

The incident took place on Locust Street.

It appears a pickup truck driven by John Morgan crossed the center line, colliding with the passenger car driven by Ms. Hitchcock. The incident left both occupants of the vehicles hospitalized. Though, three days after the incident, Ms. Hitchcock succumbed to her injuries. The exact cause of the incident had not been determined at the time of the report. The report claims Mr. Morgan faces multiple charges related to the incident.

The official investigation into incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
