Mark Tracy Lucas, Gerald Allan Hilliard Killed in Accident in Rockbridge Co., VA

Rockbridge Co, VA -- A single-vehicle crash claimed the lives of 42-year-old Mark Tracy Lucas & 68-year-old Gerald Allan Hilliard in the area of Rockbridge County, VA Wednesday, February 15, 2017.

The incident took place on Interstate 81 around 7 a.m.

It appears the vehicle hauling manure veered off the interstate, crashing into a group of trees. The vehicle then overturned, killing both Mr. Hilliard and Mr. Lucas at the scene of the incident. It is unclear, but police say the pair were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The exact cause of the collision had not been determined at the time of the report.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the crash.
