Danie Thomssen, Carson Roney Killed, Haley Visto Hurt in Accident near Moorhead, MN

Moorhead, MN -- A single-vehicle crash in the area of Moorhead, MN claimed the lives of 18-year-old Danie Thomssen and Carson Roney, 19, Saturday, February 11, 2017.

The crash happened on I-94 around 10 p.m.

It looks like the vehicle occupied by the victims was headed west when for reasons unclear it spun out of control. The vehicle collided with a guardrail, subsequently striking a guardrail. Danie Thommssen, the driver of the vehicle, and Carson Roney, one of the passengers, were killed in the collision. A third passenger, Haley Visto, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The exact cause of the incident has not been determined.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details at its conclusion.

The preliminary media report provided no further information at the time of its release.
