Javier Valerio, 4 Others Hurt in Gonzales, TX, Well Fire Accident

Gonzales, TX -- October 5, 2016, Javier Valerio and four co-workers were injured following an accident where a Venture Energy Services well caught fire.

OSHA officials investigated and released a report on the incident which occurred during the work day. It's unclear exactly where in Gonzales the well was located, and it's also unclear if the well was for oil or for natural gas.

Valerio and four of his co-workers were servicing a well head leading up to the accident. For reasons that were not reported, a sudden flash fire broke out and hit the workers.

As a result, all five workers suffered burn injuries. The report indicated that the injuries were severe but did not specify further.

Right now, no additional details have been reported by OSHA or news outlets. The workers' current conditions are unknown, and the cause of the accident was never released.
