Terri Lasher Killed in Catawba County, NC, School Bus Accident

Catawba County, NC -- February 10, 2017, Terri Lasher suffered fatal injuries following an accident where her vehicle and a school bus crashed.

Catawba County officials responded to the accident scene which happened at Bethany Church Road and State Highway 10.

Preliminary reports indicate that 31-year-old Lasher was traveling along Bethany Church Road in an SUV. In the opposite lanes was a school bus with 3 children and 2 adults on-board. For reasons that are not yet clear, the two vehicles crossed paths with one another, and they crashed head-on. Both vehicles went off-road as a result.

Reports say that Lasher's injuries proved fatal, and she died at the scene. The passengers of the bus had only minor injuries.

Authorities have yet to determine what caused the accident. They say the crash remains under investigation.
