Kevin Archibald Killed, Jazz Hayhurst Injured in Accident in San Mateo Co., CA

San Mateo County, CA -- A head-on collision in the area of San Mateo, CA claimed the life of 49-year-old Kevin Archibald and injured 28-year-old Jazz Hayhurst.

The incident took place on Highway 1 Sunday, February 12, 2017.

It is claimed Mr. Archibald was headed north, while Mr. Hayhurst was headed south. At some point, there vehicles collided. Mr. Archibald was taken by air to Stanford Hospital. He died a short time later. Mr. Hayhurst was taken to the same hospital with two broken legs.

The exact cause of the incident is unclear, but police say they believe Mr. Hayhurst was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The official investigation is currently underway.
