3 Injured in Ellis County, TX, School Bus Accident on Zmolek

Ellis County, TX -- February 14, 2017, two children and one adult were injured in , following an accident where a school bus crashed off of Zmolek Road.

Ellis County officials reported that the accident happened just after 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Zmolek Road and FM 85.

According to preliminary reports, an Ennis Independent School District bus was transporting 7 children of unspecified ages. For reasons that are not yet confirmed, the bus lost control and veered off the side of the road. As a result, the bus crashed into the roadside ditch.

Following the crash, two students and the bus driver reported injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital in unspecified conditions. No additional injuries were reported.

Authorities have not yet determined what caused the accident. They have not released any additional information.
