Sandra Wagner Killed in Alma, AR, Hit-and-run Accident

Alma, AR -- February 12, 2017, Sandra Wagner was killed following an accident in which she was struck by a car while walking along the highway.

According to an accident report released by the Arkansas State Police, 70-year-old Wagner was walking along US Highway 64 at approximately 6:50 p.m.

As she was walking, an eastbound vehicle, which police have yet to identify, drove past. The car made contact with Wagner, knocking her across the roadway. That vehicle then fled the scene of the accident.

Authorities were called to the scene, and they found Wagner unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

It's unclear what evidence authorities are working with. They say investigations are ongoing.
