James Meyers Killed in Accident in Killington, VT

Killington, VT -- An incident involving a snowboard left 26-year-old James Meyers dead in the area of Killington, VT Saturday, February 11, 2017.

The incident took place at Mount Killington, according to reports.

It appears Mr. Meyers was riding a snowboard when for unknown reasons it veered off-path. The board then struck a tree. Mr. Meyers was taken to a nearby hospital, but was later pronounced dead. The exact cause of the incident has not been determined. The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details at its conclusion.
