2 Injured in Hurst, TX, Boating Accident off Lake Front Drive

Hurst, TX -- February 8, 2017, two people were injured as the result of an accident in which their boat capsized in a pond off of Lake Front Drive.

Emergency service officials report that the incident occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. in a pond in a neighborhood area off of Lake Front, south of Highway 10.

According to preliminary reports, the two men were in small boat on the pond. Somehow, the boat tipped over and dumped the two occupants into the water. Nearby residents heard their calls for help and called for rescue teams.

With the help of a dive team, fire rescue workers were able to extract the men from the water. They then transported them to a nearby hospital. Reports say their conditions were not serious.

At this time, authorities have not said what caused the accident to occur. No further details are available.
