One Injured in Lawrenceburg, TN, Amish Buggy/Truck Accident

Lawrenceburg, TN -- February 3, 2017, a person was injured following an accident where an 18-wheeler collided with an Amish buggy on Highway 63.

The accident was investigated by the Tennessee State Highway Patrol in the afternoon hours of Friday.

Their preliminary reports indicate that an Amish buggy was traveling down Highway 43 at the time. For reasons that have yet to be determined, the buggy crossed paths with an oncoming 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler failed to avoid the buggy in time, and a collision occurred.

As a result of the collision, the buggy driver sustained non-critical injuries and was taken to Maury Regional Medical Center.

Authorities did not report any charges or citations resulting from the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
