Ian Patrick McKay Killed in Columbus, GA, Dump Truck Accident

Columbus, GA -- January 31, 2017, Ian Patrick McKay was killed following an accident in which his motorcycle and a dump truck collided.

Columbus authorities responded to the two-vehicle accident scene just before 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of Wooldridge Road and Fortson Road.

At this time, exact details on what occurred in the accident are still scarce. Reports say that 45-year-old McKay was riding a motorcycle at the time. Somehow, a dump truck crossed paths with the motorcycle, and a collision occurred. This ejected McKay onto the roadway.

McKay was critically injured following the crash, and he was pronounced dead shortly afterward. No other injuries were reported.

Potential factors in the accident have yet to be suggested by police investigators. They have no reported any further information surrounding the crash.
