Michael Laney Injured in Galveston County, TX, Motorcycle Accident

Galveston County, TX -- February 8, 2017, Michael Laney was seriously injured following an accident where he was thrown off of his motorcycle.

Galveston County authorities were called to the accident scene in the afternoon hours of Wednesday. It happened somehow along FM 517.

57-year-old Laney was riding a motorcycle along the road when he was somehow involved in an accident. Reports have been unclear, but it would appear that a box truck was involved.

As a result of the events, Laney was thrown over his handle bars and onto the roadway. This accident inflicted critical injuries to Laney.

A responding Galveston County Deputy rendered life-saving efforts to Laney at the scene, after which he was rushed over to a nearby hospital. His condition was said to be critical.

At this time, authorities have not released any additional details surrounding the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
