Patricia Parrish Dies in Accidental Fire in Parkchester, NY

Parkchester, NY -- A fire in the area of Parkchester, NY claimed the life of 81-year-old Patricia Parrish Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

The incident took place at 2051 St. Raymond Avenue around 12:30 a.m.

The report claims the the victim was overcome by smoke after a fire broke out in her seventh floor apartment. The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time. Ms. Parrish was taken to Jacobi Hospital, but was declared dead. The report claims Ms. Parrish suffered smoke inhalation.

The official investigation into the woman's death is ongoing and may reveal important details as it concludes.
