Tami McVay Killed in Zip Line Accident in Tillamook, OR

Tillamook, OR -- An incident with a zip line left 35-year-old Tami McVay dead in the area of Tillamook, OR Saturday, February 4, 2017.

The incident took place at the Salmonberry Bridge about 5:53 a.m.

The report claims Ms. McVay and Joshua Jackson were using a zip line to cross a river, when the tree holding the line pulled from its roots. The tree allegedly collapsed on the pair. Ms. McVay sustained severe head trauma in the incident. The exact cause of the incident had yet to be determined.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
