One Killed, Four Hurt in Hiking Accident at Islip Saddle in San Gabriel Valley, CA

San Gabriel Valley, CA -- A hiking incident in at Islip Saddle in the area of San Gabriel Valley, CA left one person dead, and four more with injuries Saturday, February 4, 2017.

It looks like the five people were hiking along the Angeles National Forest when for reasons unclear they slipped down an ice chute. One person was killed, while the other four were left with undisclosed injuries. The victims have yet to be identified, but have since been described as three men, a woman, all in their 60's.

The exact cause of the incident has not been determined.

The report provided no further information regarding the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
