Man Killed in Skiing Accident at Snowshoe Mountain Resort in Snowshoe, WV

Snowshoe, WV -- An incident at the Snowshoe Mountain Resort claimed the life of an unidentified man in the area of Snowshoe, WV Saturday, February 4, 2017.

The report claims the victim, a 67-year-old man, was skiing down a mountain when for reasons unclear he went off trail. It is unclear at this time the nature of the man's injuries. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken to a nearby hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries.

The exact cause of the incident is currently under investigation by authorities.
