Kurt Fraser Killed, Jennifer Powell, Donna Bowen Hurt in Edgewater, MD, Accident

Edgewater, MD -- February 4, 2017, Kurt Fraser was killed, Jennifer Powell, Donna Bowen and two children injured, in a car accident.

According to the Maryland State Police, the accident occurred at the intersection of Solomons Island Road and Wallace Manor Road.

Their preliminary investigations indicate that 52-year-old Fraser was driving a car down Solomons Island Road. For reasons that aren't clear, his vehicle crossed paths with an oncoming car being driven by 36-year-old Powell. The two cars crashed head-on into each other.

As a result of the collision, Fraser was pronounced dead at the scene. Powell and her three passengers, 57-year-old Bowen, a 9-year-old, and a 2-year-old, all sustained minor injuries. They were all taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Authorities ruled out speeding and alcohol has factors in the accident. Their investigations at this time are ongoing.
