Jacob McGuff Killed in Accident in Baton Rouge, LA

Baton Rouge, LA -- A single-vehicle collision left 20-year-old Jacob McGuff dead in the area of Baton Rouge, LA Monday, February 6, 2017.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-110 and N 22nd Street about 8:15 a.m.

The report claims the vehicle occupied by the victim was headed south when for reasons unknown it lost control near an overpass curve. The semi-truck crossed over the center line, striking the overpass support on N 22nd. Mr. McGuff, the driver of the semi, was thrown from the truck, and was killed at the scene.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

There was no further information made available by the preliminary press release.

The cause of the fatal incident in currently under investigation by authorities.
