Jasper, TX: Woman Hurt in Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Accident at Highway 190 & 96

Jasper, TX -- -- An unidentified pedestrian was struck and left with injuries in the area of Jasper, TX Monday, February 6, 2017.

The collision happened at the intersection of Highways 190 and 96 around 10 a.m.

The report claims a vehicle driven by Jasper resident, Katie Smith, was turning west onto Highway 190 when her vehicle struck the pedestrian. The female victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken to a nearby hospital, and was treated for her injuries. Her current condition is unknown. The report made no mention of other injuries related to the crash.

The official investigation is currently underway.
