3 Injured in Jonesboro, AR, Pickup/SUV Accident on Harrisburg

Jonesboro, AR -- February 8, 2017, three people were injured, one seriously, following an accident where a pickup and an SUV crashed on Harrisburg Road.

Jonesboro Police officials responded to the two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Harrisburg Road and Windover Road in the early morning hours of Wednesday.

Their preliminary reports indicate that one person in a pickup and an SUV carrying two people crashed into each other on Harrisburg. Details surrounding the accident are not entirely clear, but photos show both vehicles with significant damage to their front portions.

As a result of the collision, authorities say that driver of the pickup was critically injured. EMS transported that person to a nearby hospital via helicopter. The two people SUV sustained what were said to be non-life-threatening injuries. They were also taken for treatment.

At this time, police have not indicated any charges or citations resulting from the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
