Brian Young Dies in Lago Vista, TX, Head-on Accident

Lago Vista, TX -- January 23, 2017, Brian Michael Young died as the result of an accident in which his vehicle and a pickup crashed head-on.

Representatives from the Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the fatal collision occurred around 7:45 a.m. along FM 1431. The exact location was unclear.

Their reports indicate that 50-year-old Young was traveling down FM 1431 in a Nissan Versa. In the opposite lanes was a pickup hauling a trailer. For reasons yet to be determined, the two vehicles crossed paths and crashed into each other head-on. During the collision, cargo from the trailer struck Young in his vehicle.

Young's injuries resulting from the collision proved fatal. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene. The occupants of the pickup were not injured.

Authorities have not yet suggested what factors led to the accident. No further information is currently available.
