Truck Driver Injured in Belton, TX, Rollover Accident on US 190

Belton, TX -- February 6, 2017, a truck driver sustained injuries as the result of an accident where his vehicle overturned along US Highway 190.

Emergency response teams were called to the accident scene at around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of US Highway 190 and Loop 121.

Preliminary police investigations have indicated that an 18-wheeler was traveling eastbound on US 190 when his vehicle somehow lost control and went off the side of the roadway. Before he could react, the truck crashed into a highway sign. This collision caused the semi-trailer to flip over onto its side.

Officials say the truck driver sustained injuries in the crash, but they did not specify the severity. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No particular factors have been determined at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
