One Injured in Springdale, AR, Pontiac Coffee House Accident

Springdale, AR -- February 4, 2017, a driver was injured as the result of an accident in which their vehicle crashed into a Pontiac Coffee House.

The Springdale Police Department responded to the accident scene at the coffee house which is located at 515 South Thompson Street.

Their preliminary investigation says that a vehicle was traveling down Thompson at around noon. For reasons that aren't clear, the vehicle lost control and ran off the roadway. Before it could stop, it crashed into the storefront of the Pontiac Coffee House.

As a result of the collision, the driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not specified. A gas leak occurred due to the collision, but it was quickly shut off.

Authorities did not indicate what caused the accident to occur or whether or not charges or citations were being considered.

Their investigations continue.
