Scott Carl Injured in Accident in Lubbock, TX
Lubbock, TX -- A two-vehicle crash in the area of Lubbock, TX Thursday, February 2, 2017 left 22-year-old Scott Carl with serious injuries.
The incident took place about noon at University Avenue and South Loop 289.
It looks like Mr. Carl's vehicle was stopped at a light when it was struck by a vehicle driven by Billy Williams. Mr. Williams's vehicle was headed east when it collided with the rear of Mr. Carl's car. The report claims Mr. Williams's vehicle then went on to strike a flatbed, rolling into the intersection. Mr. Carl was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was last listed in critical but stable condition.
Mr. Williams, 61, has since been charged with multiple offenses related to the crash.
The cause of the incident is unclear, but police say they believe alcohol was a factor.
The official investigation is currently underway.
