Cynthia Kelso Killed in Maynard, AR, Single-Vehicle Accident

Maynard, AR -- February 5, 2017, Cynthia Kelso was killed as the result of an accident where her vehicle crashed off the highway.

The Arkansas State Police released a preliminary accident report concerning the crash. They say it happened along Highway 328 in the Maynard area at around 10:21 p.m.

According to the accident report, 58-year-old Kelso was driving a 1993 Chevy westbound on the highway. No other passengers were in the car. For reasons that have yet to be determined, the vehicle lost control and went off the side of the road.

The vehicle crashed into a tree off-road, causing it to flip over. As a result, Kelso sustained fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet suggested what factors may have contributed to the accident. Weather at the time was favorable.

Investigations are ongoing.
