One Injured in Industrial Accident at Energetic Materials and Products in Round Rock, TX

Round Rock, TX -- An industrial incident in the area of Round Rock, TX left one person with serious burns Friday, February 3, 2017.

The incident took place at Energetic Materials and Products about 2 p.m.

The report claims the company specializes in the manufacture of electrical charge components used to get by law enforcement to breach doors. It appears one of the devices with which the victim was working malfunctioned. The device exploded, leaving one worker with serious burns. The victim was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center. Their current condition is unknown.

The exact cause of the incident is unclear.

Officials are currently examining the details of the explosion.
