SUV Hits Choo Choo Xpress Daycare, 7 Hurt in Cibolo, TX, Accident

Cibolo, TX -- February 3, 2017, seven people were hurt, six of which were infants, after an accident where an SUV ran into the Choo Choo Xpress daycare.

At around 10:45 a.m., police say, the Choo Choo Xpress Child Care center had approximately 40 children from the ages of 5 to 18 months old. The daycare is located at 750 Schneider Drive.

Reports indicate that an elderly woman was driving through the parking lot in a Mercedes Benz SUV. As she approached the daycare, she somehow hit they gas instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to lurch forward. As a result, it crashed through the wall of the daycare.

Reports say some of the children were underneath the vehicle following the crash. However, none of the injuries of those involved appeared life-threatening. Reports say one of the children was taken to University hospital while five others were taken to Northeast Baptist Hospital. The woman driving the SUV was also taken to Northeast Methodist in unspecified condition.

Following the accident, it's unclear whether or not charges or citations will be filed. They say the incident remains under investigation.
