Wilder City Councilman Ismael Fernandez Killed in Accident in Wilder, ID

Wilder, ID -- A two-vehicle collision in the area of Wilder, ID took the life of Councilman, Ismael Fernandez Friday, January 27, 2017.

The crash happened on Highway 19.

The report claims Mr. Fernandez was headed west on Highway 19 when the collision took place. His vehicle, and a truck said to be hauling beets, crashed with one another. Mr. Fernandez was thrown from the vehicle, and was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. He later succumbed to his injuries.

The report noted that Mr. Fernandez, aged 20, was one of the youngest people elected in the state of Idaho.

The official investigation is currently underway and may reveal more information as it unfolds.
