Jeffrey Padrick Killed in Accident in New Bern, NC

New Bern, NC -- A crash between a motorcycle and an SUV left 54-year-old Jeffrey Padrick dead in the area of New Bern, NC Thursday, February 2, 2017.

The collision took place near the Neuse River.

It looks like a vehicle occupied by 38-year-old Christy Foreman had slowed to due to a broken down vehicle on the bridge. Within moments, the motorcycle containing the victim collided with Ms. Foreman's vehicle. Mr. Padrick was taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries. He later succumbed. The report made no mention of other injuries in the collision.

The cause of the incident has not been determined.
