One Injured in Erie, PA, Tractor-Trailer Accident on 12th

Erie, PA -- January 31, 2017, a driver was injured as the result of an accident in which their vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler on 12th Street.

Authorities were called to the intersection of 12th Street and Cranberry Street at around noon.

Investigators have reported that a black car was traveling westbound on 12th Street behind a flatbed tractor-trailer. Reports say that the tractor-trailer attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Cranberry at the same time the car was trying to drive around the truck. This caused the two vehicles to collide in westbound lanes.

Emergency services came to the scene and extracted the driver of the car from the wreckage. They then transported the driver to a nearby hospital for treatment. Injuries were not specified.

Authorities have not released any further information regarding the accident.
